This easy appetizer is perfect to prep ahead of time. Plus it’s that perfect combination of sweet and salty with a little spice. These are great for gluten-free and grain-free conditions.

Instructions

  1. 1

Preheat the oven to 400℉ and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  2. 2

In a small bowl, mix together the goat cheese, lemon zest and Aleppo pepper.

  3. 3

Stuff each date with the goat cheese mixture and wrap with prosciutto.

  4. 4

Use a toothpick to secure the dates. Place on the baking sheet and bake for 14 to 15 minutes, until the prosciutto is crispy.

  5. 5

Serve with optional garnishes such as honey, thyme and flaky salt. Enjoy!

  6. 6

Notes: If you have extra goat cheese, use that to dip the dates in as some of the cheese can come out of the dates.

  7. 7

Substitutions: Aleppo pepper: use chili flakes, or omit for no spice. Prosciutto: use bacon instead.
